Taraba - Following the rescuing of 17 children from a suspected child trafficker in Taraba state, parents whose children are missing have been encouraged to contact government to identify the minors. Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku called the parents to Jalingo, the state capital, where they must contact the State Ministry of Women Affairs and Child Development for the verification of the children. The call comes after the state police command on Tuesday rescued the abducted children and arrested the suspect. “Describing children are special gift from God who deserve special care and love from the society devoid of any form of abuse or illegal separation from their immediate families as seen in the case of those innocent children. The government will stand firm in fighting this unwholesome abuse of child right in the state,” a spokesperson of the governor said.
