Chief of Air Staff on a Condolence Visit to Jalingo.

          Chief of Army Staff in Jalingo     T he Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadiq Baba Abubakar was in Jalingo on Sunday to commiserate with the family of late Alhaji Aliyu Baba who died on the 22/10/2016, after a brief illness. Shortly after his arrival at the deceased compound prayers were offered for the soul of the deceased and his family which was led by Retired Grand Khadi Abdulmumuni Mohammed and Grand Khadi Ahmed Bose. Gov Ishaku, Takum Youths Foil Monarch Kidnap

  But for the swift intervention of Governor Darius Ishaku, working with his Benue state counterpart, the district head of Chir-Akera in Lufu, Takum, Veyor Gbatu, would have been kidnapped. Recounting the drama, Counsellor of Fete ward, Andrew Titus said about twelve heavily armed men invaded the community and forcefully captured the district head. He said ” I got a call this morning from the district head of Lufu who told me the chief has been captured by some armed youth. I quickly swung into action and told the chairman of the local government who in turn quickly reached the governor. I later learnt that the governor promptly called his Benue state  colleague, Governor Samuel Ortom, for coordination. German Investors Inspects Lau Tomatoes Company and Quarry/Asphalt.

  In continuation of feasibility studies by German investors aimed at creating employment opportunities to the teeming populace of the State, the team was in Lau Local Government to inspect the Lau Tomatoes Company, which has been lying fallow for over three decades.   The team leader of the German investors, Engr. Michael Struve in company of the commissioner of Commerce and Industries and some officials of the ministry inspected the Lau Tomatoes company which has suffered long period of abandonment. Engr. Struve said they will be able to revive the company pointing out that all the equipment in the company are obsolete and the only option is to renovate the place and replace the existing equipment with modern ones that are faster and can produce at a very high speed both in terms of quality and quantity.
