Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has presented a ₦148.26 billion supplementary budget to the State House of Assembly for consideration and approval. The proposal is aimed at funding emerging priorities not captured in the 2026 budget, particularly security, protection of lives and property, and the welfare of residents. The bill has been referred to the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation for a public hearing and report within one week. Meanwhile, the Assembly adopted the report on the Taraba State University Re-enactment Bill, recommending that the Vice-Chancellor serve a single, non-renewable five-year tenure. The bill was referred for scheduling of its third reading.
