2027: Aminu Zakari’s Wife Campaigns for PDP at Jeka da Fari in Jalingo

The wife of Engr. Aminu Zakari, running mate to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Taraba State, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, has visited Jeka da Fari in Jalingo, the state capital, to campaign for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

During the visit, she engaged residents of the area as part of efforts to mobilise support for the PDP and its candidates in the forthcoming elections. The visit also formed part of the party’s grassroots campaign activities aimed at reaching voters across the state.

The campaign comes as political parties intensify efforts to gain public support ahead of the 2027 general elections. The PDP, through its candidates and supporters, is seeking to strengthen its grassroots presence and secure votes across Taraba State.

Jukun militia kills five Tiv farmers, injures woman in fresh attack

In Spite of interventions by stakeholders to broker peace between the Tiv and Jukun in Benue and Taraba states, five persons have been killed in fresh attacks on Gyenku in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State. The Guardian learnt that the Jukun attacked farms to kill the victims.Confirming the incidence, Caretaker Chairman of Ukum Council, Tor-Tyokaa Iberlogo said five persons were killed on their farms, while a woman was seriously injured and is receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
