2027: Bwacha Promises Inclusive Governance, Accountability If Elected Taraba Governor

WHY I AM RUNNING FOR OFFICE
My vision is to prioritise security, agriculture, education, healthcare, infrastructure and employment.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Taraba State for the 2027 election, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, has pledged to prioritise security, agriculture, education, healthcare, infrastructure and employment if elected governor.

Bwacha said his administration would focus on improving the lives of residents through inclusive governance, responsible management of public resources and policies aimed at creating lasting economic opportunities.

In a statement titled “A Government for All Citizens,” the former senator advocated expanding agriculture beyond production to include storage, processing, packaging and export to increase farmers’ earnings. He also promised greater opportunities for youths and women through enterprise development, technology, mentorship and access to capital.

The candidate further highlighted the need to strengthen schools, equip healthcare facilities, provide scholarships and protect senior citizens, while assuring communities, including those in remote border areas, of equal consideration in his proposed administration.

Bwacha also raised concerns about governance, infrastructure, public spending and borrowing, calling for transparency regarding government revenue, completed projects, jobs created and repayment obligations.

He pledged not to divert public funds for personal luxury, promising to govern with honesty, humility, transparency and accountability while treating all residents equally, regardless of ethnicity, religion or geographical location.

The PDP candidate urged voters to assess political candidates based on their ideas, competence, experience and track records rather than ethnic, religious or personal affiliations.

He also called for peaceful, issue-based campaigns, condemning violence, intimidation and personal attacks while encouraging political supporters to express their views within the law.
