PDP Governorship Candidate, Emmanuel Bwacha, Kicks Off Campaign in Zing

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Taraba State, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, has kicked off his gubernatorial campaign in Zing Local Government Area of the state, marking the beginning of his campaign activities in Taraba North Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The campaign event brought the PDP candidate and his supporters to Zing, where he is expected to engage with party members, supporters and residents as part of efforts to mobilise support for his governorship ambition.

The campaign in Zing represents a significant step in the PDP's political activities in Taraba North as the party seeks to strengthen its grassroots support ahead of the forthcoming election.

Jukun militia kills five Tiv farmers, injures woman in fresh attack

In Spite of interventions by stakeholders to broker peace between the Tiv and Jukun in Benue and Taraba states, five persons have been killed in fresh attacks on Gyenku in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State. The Guardian learnt that the Jukun attacked farms to kill the victims.Confirming the incidence, Caretaker Chairman of Ukum Council, Tor-Tyokaa Iberlogo said five persons were killed on their farms, while a woman was seriously injured and is receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
