NEDC to Deplov 10,000 Electric Tricycles, 300 Taxis, 30 Buses Across North-East

The North-East Development Commission (NEDC) has announced plans to deploy 1 0,000 electric tricycles, 300 electric taxis. and 30 electric buses across the North-East region.

The Commission said the initiative is aimed at improving transportation, creating employment opportunities, reducing transportation costs, and promoting environmentally friendly mobility.

This was disclosed at a stakeholders' sensitisation workshop on electric mobility held in Jalingo, Taraba state.

Jukun militia kills five Tiv farmers, injures woman in fresh attack

In Spite of interventions by stakeholders to broker peace between the Tiv and Jukun in Benue and Taraba states, five persons have been killed in fresh attacks on Gyenku in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State. The Guardian learnt that the Jukun attacked farms to kill the victims.Confirming the incidence, Caretaker Chairman of Ukum Council, Tor-Tyokaa Iberlogo said five persons were killed on their farms, while a woman was seriously injured and is receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
