The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadiq Baba Abubakar was in Jalingo on Sunday to commiserate with the family of late Alhaji Aliyu Baba who died on the 22/10/2016, after a brief illness.
Shortly after his arrival at the deceased compound prayers were offered for the soul of the deceased and his family which was led by Retired Grand Khadi Abdulmumuni Mohammed and Grand Khadi Ahmed Bose.
The Chief of Air Staff then commensurated with the entire family members of the deceased, particularly, Air Commodore Kabiru Aliyu who is a professional colleague of the CAS and the present Commanding officer, Commanding 106 Air force Camp Abuja, and his sister who is the wife of Chief of Army Staff and the current President of Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association NAOWA, Mallama Umul Kalsun Tukur Buratai who is also the daughter of the deceased.
The Chief of Air Staff, SB Abubakar who declined interview with the press said his visit to the State was personal.
The son of the deceased, Air Commodore Kabiru Aliyu then used the opportunity and appreciated the Taraba State Government for the wonderful support accorded them during their moment of grief and also appreciated the people that stood with them during the family’s most difficult moment.

Taraba Begins ₦5,000 Deduction for Teachers’ Permanent Identity Cards

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB) has initiated a ₦5,000 deduction from teachers as part of arrangements for the production of Permanent Identity Cards for teachers across the state. According to UBEC, the identity cards are expected to strengthen staff records, improve security and enhance administrative efficiency in the management of teachers across Taraba State. UBEC further said the Permanent Identity Card project is also expected to assist the state government in developing an accurate and verifiable database of teachers. Such a database will provide Governor Agbu Kefas with reliable information on personnel within the basic education system and support more effective planning, monitoring and personnel management. The initiative is therefore expected to strengthen security measures, improve staff verification and provide a more efficient system for managing personnel across Taraba State’s basic education sector.
