German Investors Inspects Lau Tomatoes Company and Quarry/Asphalt.

German investors 

In continuation of feasibility studies by German investors aimed at creating employment opportunities to the teeming populace of the State, the team was in Lau Local Government to inspect the Lau Tomatoes Company, which has been lying fallow for over three decades.
 
The team leader of the German investors, Engr. Michael Struve in company of the commissioner of Commerce and Industries and some officials of the ministry inspected the Lau Tomatoes company which has suffered long period of abandonment.
Engr. Struve said they will be able to revive the company pointing out that all the equipment in the company are obsolete and the only option is to renovate the place and replace the existing equipment with modern ones that are faster and can produce at a very high speed both in terms of quality and quantity.
He explained that German technology is among the best in the World, stressing that they will do everything possible to assist the Governor realize his dream of reviving the Lau Tomatoes company.
While commending Governor Darius Ishaku for the vision of reviving the company which will go a long way in creating more jobs for the people of the State and even beyond, he asserted that the vision will soon be realized if only Government will fulfill its own part of the agreement which include the provision of basic infrastructure, such as roads, water and power which are critical and key component for the survival and sustenance of any viable company.
The German investor described Taraba as an investment haven that every potential investor would be interested and pointed out that God has enormously blessed the State and all that is required at the moment is the political will of Government to kick start partnering with expatriates that will assist the State to harness its abundant natural resources.
Also commenting, the Commissioner of Commerce and Industries, Hon. Iliya Ajibu expressed Government determination towards turning around its facilities with a view to tackling unemployment in the State.
Iliya Ajibu maintained that all Government industries have been captured in the Rescue mission of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku, expressing optimism that very soon all the earmarked companies will start receiving Government attention with a view to making them viable and vibrant with the sole objectives of creating jobs and improving on the revenue profile of the State.
In his contribution, the project facilitator who is a Nigerian based in Germany, Saturday Jackson said Governor Ishaku is poised to bring succor to the people of the State and added that as a Nigerian he will support the initiative of the Governor by broadening the scope of the partnership that is not captured in the first MoU.
Jackson commended Governor Ishaku for having the interest of his people at heart by bringing development closer to the people of in spite of the financial challenges being faced in the country and asserted that his choice to partner with German investor is the best and very soon the people of Taraba will actually experience the best of German expertise.  
While the Caretaker Chairman of Lau Local Government, Hon. Nicholas Waniyafiwani appreciated the effort of Governor Darius Ishaku through the Rescue Mission aimed at improving the livelihood of the people, pointing out that, what the people of the State desires at this particular point is to feel the impact of Government most especially in bringing development closer to them.
Hon. Waniyafiwani revealed that he is determined to mobilise the people of his Local Government to support the wonderful initiative of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku so that they can benefit maximally from the partnership and added that they have fervently prayed for the reactivation of the Tomatoes Company for long and God has finally answered their collective prayers for Lau to join league of Local Governments with industries in the Country.
The team also inspected the Taraba Quarry and Asphalt plant along Wukari road, the Technobat Housing Estate, two parcels of land along Kona Garo road and opposite NYSC orientation camp near Sibre in Ardo Kola Local Government.

Taraba Begins ₦5,000 Deduction for Teachers’ Permanent Identity Cards

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB) has initiated a ₦5,000 deduction from teachers as part of arrangements for the production of Permanent Identity Cards for teachers across the state. According to UBEC, the identity cards are expected to strengthen staff records, improve security and enhance administrative efficiency in the management of teachers across Taraba State. UBEC further said the Permanent Identity Card project is also expected to assist the state government in developing an accurate and verifiable database of teachers. Such a database will provide Governor Agbu Kefas with reliable information on personnel within the basic education system and support more effective planning, monitoring and personnel management. The initiative is therefore expected to strengthen security measures, improve staff verification and provide a more efficient system for managing personnel across Taraba State’s basic education sector.
