NEMA Distributes Relief Materials To IDPs In Taraba

nema_logoThe National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has distributed additional relief materials worth over N5 million to the internally displaced persons (IDPs) camps in Mutum-Biyu, near Jalingo.
The director general of the agency, Alhaji Muhammed Sani-Sidi yesterday presented the items to the IDPs’ camps in Tudun Haske, Sabongari, Anguwar Tike, Kan-Kwana and Bayan Kasuwa in Gassol local government areas of Taraba State.
Sidi told the IDPs that the federal government was not only committed to alleviating their sufferings but was also making concerted efforts to restore peace to all troubled communities across the country.
“These relief materials are not a compensation for the loss you have incurred, they are to further alleviate your suffering in the camps while the federal government tackles the insurgency and communal crisis in the country.
“I urge you to forgive one another and embrace peace to pave way for development in your communities for a better Nigeria,” he said.
