The Executive Director, Victims Support Fund,
Prof. Sunday Ochoche has donated the sum of 25 million to the
Specialists Hospital Jalingo and General Hospital Wukari in Taraba
state to provide free medical care to victims of insurgency in the
state.
Ochoche said while presenting the cheques to the management of the two hospitals in Jalingo and Wakari yesterday that the funds donated should used for purpose it was provided.
He stressed that the victims support fund would frown at any hospital that failed to utilize the funds for the care of the victims.
“The era of corruption is gone, this fund was donated to these hospitals to assist in purchasing equipments medication and consumables that would help to provide free and enhanced medical cares for victims of insurgency” professor Ochoche warned.
He noted that Gen. T. Y Danjuma who is the chairman of the victims support fund committee is an illustrious son of the state, stressing that it would be a disgrace if Taraba State fails to utilize the fund judiciously.
“We will work together with management of the hospitals to ensure that this fund is adequately used.” he further stressed.
