NDLEA Denies Report of Drug Bunker at Taraba Nursing College

By Taraba Facts

The Taraba State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has dismissed a social media report alleging that its operatives uncovered a suspected drug bunker at the Taraba State College of Nursing Sciences in Jalingo.

The report, which circulated widely online under the headline, “NDLEA Uncovers Suspected Drug Bunker at Taraba College of Nursing Sciences,” appeared to associate the institution with an alleged illicit drug operation, sparking concerns among students, staff and members of the public.

However, the NDLEA command moved to dispel the report, indicating that the claim circulating on social media did not accurately represent the situation. The clarification is aimed at correcting the impression created by the publication and preventing further spread of what the agency considers misleading information.

The development underscores the need for members of the public to verify sensitive security-related reports from authoritative sources before sharing them online. The NDLEA’s clarification is also expected to ease concerns surrounding the Taraba State College of Nursing Sciences and its reputation following the circulation of the allegation.
