The Taraba State Government has announced plans to establish a 10,000-hectare cluster farm estate to boost food production and create sustainable agricultural opportunities for youths across the state. The Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Zanau Hassan Maikasuwa, disclosed this in Jalingo as part of activities marking the 2026 International Youth Day.
Maikasuwa said the estate would deploy modern farming equipment and practices, with participating youths expected to receive between two and three hectares each to engage in commercial agriculture. He said the initiative is aimed at reducing unemployment, empowering young people and strengthening food security in Taraba.
