Taraba Can Become One of Nigeria’s Leading Economic Hubs —Prof. Nyameh

Prof. Jerome Nyameh

By Taraba Facts
The Accord Party governorship candidate in Taraba State, Prof. Jerome Nyameh, has said the state has the potential to become one of Nigeria’s leading economic hubs if its abundant natural and human resources are properly harnessed.

Nyameh identified agriculture, mining, tourism and water resources as key sectors capable of driving economic growth, creating jobs and increasing the state’s internally generated revenue.

He advocated greater investment in mechanised agriculture, agro-processing, responsible mining and tourism development, alongside improvements in critical infrastructure to attract investors and connect local producers to markets.

The governorship candidate attributed Taraba’s economic challenges not to a lack of resources, but to years of poor planning, mismanagement and the absence of an enabling environment for meaningful investment.

He called for greater accountability, efficient management of public resources and stronger partnerships with the private sector, saying such measures would promote sustainable economic development and improve the living standards of residents across the state.

Nyameh maintained that with purposeful leadership and proper utilisation of its resources, Taraba could unlock its economic potential and emerge as a major investment and development hub in Nigeria.
