Donga City Gate: Gara Donga Approved Project Design -Murtala Gamji



A youth leaders and Chieftain of the All Progressives  Congress APC in Taraba state Comrade Murtala Gamji said the need to beautify the entrance of the historic city of Donga Town was the driving force behind the construction of a City Gate at the entrance of the town, dismissing insinuations that the project was to dominate other tribes groups in the area.


Gamji who came under heavy criticism over the design of the City Gate he had constructed at the entrance of Donga town, accused a federal lawmaker in the area of sponsoring mischief by giving the project a political, 

ethnic and religious coloration. 


Gamji described as needless the controversies arising out of the project, said it was the Gara Donga who approved the site for the construction of the city Gate and expressly mentioned the inscriptions and the colours he wants on the historic City Gate in his capacity as the town’s Paramount ruler and traditional Leader of Donga people.


Gamji, former President of the National Youths Council of Nigeria (NYCN) described as satanic, wicked and malicious the ethnic and religious connotation been given to the project saying he will not be deterred to do more to his people despite the campaign ofcalumny led by an unnamed serving Federal Lawmaker.


Murtala Gamji, also went further to say that this is not the first time he is embarking of projects of this magnitude as he alongside Hon Aminu Babale had facilitated the grading of a 13 kilometers road in Ussa Local Government area and the drilling of a borehole at The Christian Reformed Church of Nigeria (CRCN) in Donga Local Government Area in addition to several employment opportunities he had provided for the Youths.


Gamji said that the projects where facilitated by him due to his burning passion in him to see to the emancipation of his people from the shackles of poverty in Taraba South Senatorial District.Gamji, wondered why there was no controversy and asinine talks when he facilitated the several projects to his area, stressing that he will not be distracted with sponsored criticism by a federal lawmaker from the state.

Taraba Begins ₦5,000 Deduction for Teachers’ Permanent Identity Cards

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB) has initiated a ₦5,000 deduction from teachers as part of arrangements for the production of Permanent Identity Cards for teachers across the state. According to UBEC, the identity cards are expected to strengthen staff records, improve security and enhance administrative efficiency in the management of teachers across Taraba State. UBEC further said the Permanent Identity Card project is also expected to assist the state government in developing an accurate and verifiable database of teachers. Such a database will provide Governor Agbu Kefas with reliable information on personnel within the basic education system and support more effective planning, monitoring and personnel management. The initiative is therefore expected to strengthen security measures, improve staff verification and provide a more efficient system for managing personnel across Taraba State’s basic education sector.
