Suntai getting better -WIFE

Wife of Governor Danbaba Danfulani Suntai of Taraba State, Hajiya Hauwa Suntai, Saturday said her husband’s health condition is improving.

Hauwa spoke at the ‘Ukenho Festival of Arts and Culture’ in Kente town of Wukari Local Government Area, thanking people of the state for their prayers for the governor and expressing confidence that he would participate in next year’s edition of the cultural fiesta.

She said she was at the event because her husband had always been passionate about it and had been an active participant in previous ones before the plane crash in 2012 which led to the cancellation of last year’s edition.

She said the event would help in the promotion of unity and cultural values of the people, adding that parents should cultivate the habit of teaching their children their local dialects in the home rather than communicating with them in English. According to her, children can always learn English language from their teachers in school as well as their peers, stressing that parents should give priority to their dialects.

Tinubu approve reconstruction of Numan-Jalingo, Mutum Biyu–Garba Chede, Mayo Selbe–Gembu roads

Kefas Bans Livestock Rearing in Residential Areas of Jalingo, Imposes ₦50,000 Fine

The Taraba State Government has banned the rearing of animals in residential areas and other parts of Jalingo, the state capital, as part of efforts to tackle environmental nuisance, safeguard public health, and maintain a cleaner and more orderly city. The government also warned that anyone found violating the directive will face an immediate fine of ₦50,000. Chairman of the Taraba State Environmental Sanitation Agency (TSESA), Mr. Iliya Kefas, announced the ban during the state's monthly environmental sanitation exercise in Jalingo.
