Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has set up a five-man committee to monitor road construction and rehabilitation projects across the state’s 16 local government areas. The committee will inspect ongoing projects, assess their quality and compliance with approved standards, and identify areas requiring urgent government intervention.
The move follows concerns from residents over abandoned projects, rain damage, poor drainage and alleged use of substandard materials. Residents are now looking to the committee to ensure effective supervision, enforce contractors’ compliance and help ensure that public funds invested in road projects deliver quality infrastructure.
