The Zagah–Suntai Highway in Taraba State has been temporarily reopened to motorists following urgent repair works carried out by Chinese construction company, China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC). The intervention came after flooding washed away sections of the highway, disrupting movement and raising concerns among motorists and residents who rely on the route.
The temporary repairs have restored access along the affected sections, allowing motorists to resume movement. However, the intervention is expected to serve as a temporary measure pending more permanent rehabilitation of the highway, particularly as continued rainfall and flooding could further weaken the road if comprehensive repairs are not undertaken.
