Taraba State Governor, Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku today reaffirmed his administration’s commitment towards standardizing the Jalingo Airport to an international standard.
Darius
Dickson Ishaku stated this today while inspecting the ongoing
expansion, reconstruction, redesigning and installation of modern
equipment in line with the Country’s aviation standard.
The Governor who visited the Airport to assess progress of work charged the contractors on the need to ensure compliance to quality and standard as well as putting all that the Airport requires for perfect functionality.
He further beckoned on the
contractor to intimate him on other needs that were not earlier captured
and would be of great importance so that it would be included as soon
as possible, and reminded the contractors the importance the state
government attaches to the Jalingo airport.
In their response, the two managing
directors, Ofili Ajili and Partners limited, Engr. Emmanuel Agili and
that of GTMC, Mr. Stefan both said they are determined to do their best
with strict adherence to standards
and told the Governor that as one of the measures to safeguard the
Airport, two security Toyota Hilux vehicles have already been procured.
They both assured the Governor that
their professional calling would come to bear when the projects are
completed adding that, they are confident to complete the job within the
time frame.
Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku also
inspected the on going redesign, reconstruction and dualization of the
road as well as the installation of Solar street lights commencing at
the Works roundabout referred to as Palace way through the Jalingo
central market up Sani Abubakar Danladi Way.
