Insecurity Scaring Investors From Taraba - Gov. Ishaku

Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State has said that insecurity has prevented business people from investing in the state.
Addressing newsmen in Jalingo yesterday, Ishaku said his attempts to woo investors had failed as they complained of insecurity.
"We have huge potentials in solid minerals, agriculture and tourism but the investors we contacted refused to come for fear of insecurity," he said, specifying that the Gashaka Gumti National Park was suffering low patronage because insecurity, especially along roads leading to it, was scaring tourists off.
He added that the Nwoyo annual international fishing festival in Ibbi was suspended because of rampant crisis in the area.
He said however that the problem of insecurity was being addressed to make the state a safe haven for investors.
