Snakes Ravages Communities In Taraba.

About twenty-seven persons have been hurriedly ushered to the graveyards in Taraba state as a result of the the snake bites that is currently ravaging communities in Donga local government council of the state
Confirming the sad incident to our state correspondent, the Counselor representing the affected  communities in Suntai Ward of the council, Filibus Sambo. said the ongoing snake bites have made several people to flee the communities.
More to that, according to him, business activities in the affected areas have been brought to standstill as ” everybody” according to him ” are now afraid of coming out of their home for fear of be bite by snakes.”
Apart from the increase in the death toll, he also confirmed that hospitals and herbal homes, in the areas, are now busy treating ” some victims who are still suffering from the snake bites.”
Wondering why the development have continue to terminate the lives of the people, the need for the state government to immediately ” come to our aide” according to him” has become necessary before this snakes finish our
Villages that have been so far ravaged by the venom as made known by him includes Suntai, Kadarko, Tor-Damisa, Akate, Kumbo and  Gayama.
He observed with dismay that the anti snake bite and traditional medicines” have not been able to bring relief to the people as some of the victims undergoing medication, cannot be assured of seeing the next day
Further confirming the sad incident to our Taraba state correspondent, the council chairman,  Ibrahim Barnabas Pasoki, said the snake bites has spread out of the affected communities to the council’s headquarters.
The chairman who could not fathomed the causes of the snake bites told Naija247 News that ” it has even spread to Donga and other parts of the council” stressing that ” my sister even died yesterday as a result of the sneak bite.”
Plans, according to him are on the way to draw the attention of the state government and that of the  state Ministry of Health to the plights of the people some of whom he said are now walloping in pains.
Some medical practitioners told our reporter, that the absence of genuine anti snake bite. made it cumbersome so for the victims to get the much needed medications, the reason which according to him ” has now forced them to herbal homes.”

Taraba Begins ₦5,000 Deduction for Teachers’ Permanent Identity Cards

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB) has initiated a ₦5,000 deduction from teachers as part of arrangements for the production of Permanent Identity Cards for teachers across the state. According to UBEC, the identity cards are expected to strengthen staff records, improve security and enhance administrative efficiency in the management of teachers across Taraba State. UBEC further said the Permanent Identity Card project is also expected to assist the state government in developing an accurate and verifiable database of teachers.
