NIRSAL LOAN: SANUSI GALADIMA FOUNDATION SPONSORS FREE ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAINING FOR 1000 INDIVIDUALS IN TARABA

 


NIRSAL has initiated the Agric, Small, and Medium Enterprise Scheme (AGSMEIS) and The Sanusi Galadima Foundation is sponsoring 1000 people across all the  local governments Areas of Taraba State Central Senatorial Zone; to access the scheme. The scheme which is an initiative from Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), also comes with an entrepreneurship-training certification as eligibility to access up to N10 Million AGSMEIS loan, with 0% interest and without collateral.



The participants during the training would be allowed to choose any skill of their choice in Poultry, Goat Rearing, Furniture making, Tailoring, Farming among other Agri and non-Agri Businesses.

A N10,000 Training fee is required of each applicant for the soft loan and according to the founder of Sanusi Galadima Foundation, Alhaji Sanusi Galadima, he had to stepped up to bridge the gap between those who could not afford the training fee and those who could. This his own way of contributing to capacity building through the promotion of agriculture and agribusiness in Taraba State which is one of the most agriculturally active states in Nigeria.

Galadima implored the beneficiaries to value the training and the knowledge acquired as much as they would value the loan itself because not only does the certification make them eligible for other government initiatives, the knowledge gained is also transferable to other members of their community.


The foundation has reported that the distribution of the forms to beneficiaries will commence at several communities from November 12, 2020 and the training follows on November 14, 2020.

The Sanusi Galadima Foundation is also opening a free centre that will cater for the registration of MSME related programmes and other social intervention programmes as well as CAC registration for the businesses that require them.

Taraba Begins ₦5,000 Deduction for Teachers’ Permanent Identity Cards

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB) has initiated a ₦5,000 deduction from teachers as part of arrangements for the production of Permanent Identity Cards for teachers across the state. According to UBEC, the identity cards are expected to strengthen staff records, improve security and enhance administrative efficiency in the management of teachers across Taraba State. UBEC further said the Permanent Identity Card project is also expected to assist the state government in developing an accurate and verifiable database of teachers. Such a database will provide Governor Agbu Kefas with reliable information on personnel within the basic education system and support more effective planning, monitoring and personnel management. The initiative is therefore expected to strengthen security measures, improve staff verification and provide a more efficient system for managing personnel across Taraba State’s basic education sector.
