We are waiting for Federal Allocation to pay LG Salary- Official



An official of the Taraba State government has given reasons why local governments workers in the state could not get paid before Christmas.

Suleiman Usman Nyaja, a Media Aide to the Permanent Secretary Bureau for Local Government And Chieftaincy affairs, Alhaji Bello Yero said Local government salaries are source directly from Federal Allocations and till this moment no state has received it's allocation.

Describing cliams that Alhaji Bello Yero told Local Government chairmen during a JAAC meeting that the LG salaries  will not be paid due to the absence of the Governor as fake news, Nyaja  tagged those spreading the rumour as  'self rated social media politicians in the opposition party"

He said "hopefully before the Yuletide is over salaries shall be remitted in due time."

If constructive criticism is the backbone and Focal point of a democratic government, spreading rumors and fake news by disgruntled political elements could endangered democracy.


It's becoming worrisome that some self rated social media politicians in the opposition party are abusing every  tool of public engagements to  spread of senseless lies and propaganda against the state Government and it's officials.


The government of His Excellency Architect Darius Dickson Ishaku, has been on it's toes to ensure that citizens enjoy every benefit entitled to them under his administration.


 As part of the Rescue Agenda, he has made sure citizens who put in work get their pay at the right time. 

Taraba counts as one of the states in the federation who pay their staffs correctly and at when due.


However attention has drawn to a fake news circulating on social media that the Permanent Secretary Bureau for Local Government And Chieftaincy affairs, Alhaji Bello Yero made a statement at the JAAC meeting with the Local Government chairmen stating that the Government will not be able to pay Local government salaries due to the absence of the Governor. 


We issue a strong disclaimer that Alhaji Bello Yero did not at anytime make such statement, as it is misleading.


The Government Is doing everything within the right procedure that every staff payments are remitted to them. The State is not owing any of it's workers till this moment.


The Government is on a frantuc effort to payroll the staffs hence the delay.


 It is a common fact that  Local government salaries are source directly from Federal Allocations and till this moment no state has received it's allocation, but hopefully before the Yuletide is over it shall be remitted in due time. 


The local government has always been the backbone of the tiers of government and will still remain a strong tier.


The Government of Taraba State hereby calls for order and calm as they are out to fulfill the desires of the masses and move this state to greater heights.

Taraba Begins ₦5,000 Deduction for Teachers’ Permanent Identity Cards

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB) has initiated a ₦5,000 deduction from teachers as part of arrangements for the production of Permanent Identity Cards for teachers across the state. According to UBEC, the identity cards are expected to strengthen staff records, improve security and enhance administrative efficiency in the management of teachers across Taraba State. UBEC further said the Permanent Identity Card project is also expected to assist the state government in developing an accurate and verifiable database of teachers. Such a database will provide Governor Agbu Kefas with reliable information on personnel within the basic education system and support more effective planning, monitoring and personnel management. The initiative is therefore expected to strengthen security measures, improve staff verification and provide a more efficient system for managing personnel across Taraba State’s basic education sector.
