| Sen. Bwacha |
“I just want to bring to the notice of the entire nation that the
displaced terrorist from Sambisa forest are finding safe haven in Taraba
State. The nation must know that these people are being transported
from the forest to mostly central Taraba” Bwacha said.
He
noted that the recent concern by the National Human Right Commission
(NHRC) and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) that some
Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) have been abandoned in the states is
due to the presence of the suspected terrorists who frustrated the state
government’s effort to address the problem.
In his remark, the Senate President Bukola Saraki noted the
observation and called the attention of security agencies to the issue
raised by the Senator.
Suspected members of Boko Haram terrorist group displaced from the
notorious Sambisa forest by the military are now in Taraba State. This
was disclosed on Wednesday by Senator Emmanuel Bwacha representing
Taraba South at the Senate.- Newsdiary
