FC Taraba players besiege Jalingo govt house over 11 months unpaid salaries

Taraba Football Club players early on Friday besieged the state government house Jalingo to protest 11 months unpaid salaries by the state government.
The protesting players locked the gate of the government house and prevented workers from entering their offices for several hours.
The players complained that match bonuses for last year and this year’s league had not been paid to them.
Top government officials including the Chief of Staff at the government house Mr. Rebo Usman's effort to send the players away failed as they insisted that they won't leave until they were paid their outstanding salaries.
