Taraba Queens make history - SuperSport
Things are on an upswing in Jalingo, home of the Taraba Queens, as for the first time in their history players from their flock have been invited to a national camp. Three to be specific.Temitayo Hassan, Geraldine Amadi [below]and Grace Michael have been called up by the Flamingoes, led by coach Bala Nkiyu.
The team's media officer, Abidoye Babatunde, revealed that the club is fully in support of the players’ call-up to the National camp, and that particularly the club’s chairman, Mustapha Tahir, is over the moon with their selection.
He urged the players to make the team proud by making the final list at the national team and again underlined the fact that the state government is solidly behind them in their quest to bring honour to the state and the country.
