Taraba Versity partners American University on Students Development



The Taraba state University(TSU) Jalingo has  signed  a Memorandum of Understanding MoU with Girne American University(GAU) North Cyprus at Cyprus on students value chain development and comparative Academic Advantage for academic excellence.


The Vice Chancellor of Taraba state University(TSU) Jalingo, Prof Vincent Tenebe Ado signed the MOU in Cyprus recently said the significance of the MoU includes a major collaboration to promote academic and educational exchange between both institutions.
With the arrangement lecturers and students from Taraba State University Jalingo can also have an exchange programme with the American University.

The MOU is to establish an educational collaboration in facilitation of 3+1, 4+1, and 1+1 'top degree programs for students.

Students can also run a top up degree programs both institutions agree within the framework of the agreement that the TSU shall facilitate the enrolment of eligible undergraduate applicants into appropriate and available programmes at (GAU).

Excited students and staff of the university said the VC, Prof Vincent Tenebe Ado,  has done tremendously well for his innovation in academic and human capacity development.

His leadership role in the area of innovation and human capacity development in his two years administration can not be overemphasize, a student of the University said.

''He is focused and work within the framework of the laws establishing the University. He is a role model of transparency, accountability, and openness in the university administration.

He is not ignorant of the fact that; Tarabans and Nigerians are expecting much from him being in charge of a new generation University.

On his two years of Vice Chancellor ship of Taraba State University Jalingo, he is being described by Staff and students as " silent achiever in human capacity development,research and innovation".

He has also done well in terms of attracting research gains to the University, he has gone a long way in repositing the University as one of the best in the country, looking at the previous NUC rating and the present.

He goes every length to ensuring that everyone is Carried along, he also ensure that the welfare of staff and students remains Paramount at all times, he is down-to-earth and easy to approach.

Taraba Begins ₦5,000 Deduction for Teachers’ Permanent Identity Cards

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB) has initiated a ₦5,000 deduction from teachers as part of arrangements for the production of Permanent Identity Cards for teachers across the state. According to UBEC, the identity cards are expected to strengthen staff records, improve security and enhance administrative efficiency in the management of teachers across Taraba State. UBEC further said the Permanent Identity Card project is also expected to assist the state government in developing an accurate and verifiable database of teachers. Such a database will provide Governor Agbu Kefas with reliable information on personnel within the basic education system and support more effective planning, monitoring and personnel management. The initiative is therefore expected to strengthen security measures, improve staff verification and provide a more efficient system for managing personnel across Taraba State’s basic education sector.
