Gov. Ishaku Approves the reconstruction of TSBS Board, Appoint More Aides

Taraba State Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku has approved the reconstruction of the Board of Taraba State Broadcasting Services TSBS.

In a release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Darius Ishaku, Hassan Mijiyawa, the reconstituted Board has Barr. Danjuma Anyeze as the Board Chairman, while Elder Ukaa Ukondo, Mr. Nedison Balanko are to serve as members.

Other members of the Board as included in the release are Alhaji Ubale Yaroji and Mathew Komande.

In the same vein, Governor Darius Ishaku has also reconstituted the Board of the Taraba Sports Council, and it would be chaired by Alhaji Abubakar Habu Sani Kona.

Other members of the Board of Taraba State Sports Council as contained in the release are, Alhaji Dahiru Goro, Alhaji Ibrahim Indiana and Mr. Dan Gadin Andenira.

Also part of the Board members included Mrs. Beatrice Njoka Thomas, Mr. Sylvester Nwuche, and Barr. Mohammed Bello Ahmed Esq.

Similarly, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku has approved the appointment of Mr. Tony Baba Suleiman as Senior Special Assistant on information, while Alhaji Yusuf Gori Tanimu and Alhaji Usman Biri Njawe as special Assistants.

Taraba State University Joins ASUU Ultimatum to 21 Universities Over 2025 Agreement

Taraba Begins ₦5,000 Deduction for Teachers’ Permanent Identity Cards

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB) has initiated a ₦5,000 deduction from teachers as part of arrangements for the production of Permanent Identity Cards for teachers across the state. According to UBEC, the identity cards are expected to strengthen staff records, improve security and enhance administrative efficiency in the management of teachers across Taraba State. UBEC further said the Permanent Identity Card project is also expected to assist the state government in developing an accurate and verifiable database of teachers. Such a database will provide Governor Agbu Kefas with reliable information on personnel within the basic education system and support more effective planning, monitoring and personnel management. The initiative is therefore expected to strengthen security measures, improve staff verification and provide a more efficient system for managing personnel across Taraba State’s basic education sector.
