TARABA STATE ELECTION PETITION TRIBUNAL SITTING IN ABUJA....



On resumption today, the lead counsel to APC A.J Owonikoko (SAN) a.k.a ORACLE make his first appearance today at the court room, after the normal introduction by the counsels to APC, PDP, DDI & INEC. Counsel to the petition says he has 4 witnesses to present to the court but one is not available. The first witness was called and she introduced her self as Mrs. Nnenna A. Esien she works at DATA MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT at INEC Headquarters Abuja. And she  said she has 3 documents to tender to the court, counsels to PDP and DDI argued that she should tendered the documents only without cross Examination but counsels to the petition argued that cross examinations has to take place because they don't know which documents she's tendering and the Presiding judge gave his ruling on that issue that cross examination must take place for every witness in the court. Mrs. Nnenna tendered 3 documents and they are mark as Exhibit A1, A2, and A3 counsels cross examined her, she categorically inform the court that exhibit A2 is the successful and unsuccessful accreditation from the central server of INEC any figures outside the central server of INEC, the commission don't know about it. The second witness was called he's by name Aminu Idris and he's the deputy director political parties INEC headquarters Abuja. He also tendered 3 documents to the tribunal which are mark as exhibit A4, A5, and A6. The documents are as follows: INEC scheduled time for primaries, PDP reports of primaries and all result of political parties primaries. He was cross examined also and he responded perfectly. The third witness was called, he's by name Usman Tukur from INEC Jalingo and he's the training officer in Jalingo office. He tendered 3 documents also to the tribunal which are mark as exhibit A7, A8, and A9. He was cross examined and he responded perfectly to all the questions. Exhibit A9 is the INEC press release of USE OF CARD READERS for governorship and state assembly elections. He emphasized to the court that a person can only make use of incident form if the card reject his thumb print. The tribunal has adjourned to tomorrow for continuation of hearing.

Truck Drivers Block Jalingo–Zing–Yola Road Following Dispute at NDLEA Checkpoint

Taraba Begins ₦5,000 Deduction for Teachers’ Permanent Identity Cards

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB) has initiated a ₦5,000 deduction from teachers as part of arrangements for the production of Permanent Identity Cards for teachers across the state. According to UBEC, the identity cards are expected to strengthen staff records, improve security and enhance administrative efficiency in the management of teachers across Taraba State. UBEC further said the Permanent Identity Card project is also expected to assist the state government in developing an accurate and verifiable database of teachers. Such a database will provide Governor Agbu Kefas with reliable information on personnel within the basic education system and support more effective planning, monitoring and personnel management. The initiative is therefore expected to strengthen security measures, improve staff verification and provide a more efficient system for managing personnel across Taraba State’s basic education sector.
