Somewhere in Taraba State, north east Nigeria


The structure you are seeing is Banyam primary school in Darofai District of Karim lamido LGA of Taraba state. The school was established in the year 1976 and it is the  only government agency in the area even though the said village Banyam is located along zailani road linking lafiya in Adamawa state and lafiya in Nasarawa state. 



There are some people who have finished in this school and are doing well in all works of life.,there fore I'm appealing to well meaning individual, philanthropist, business men and women as a matter of urgency come to the aid of this school as the school is in need of so many things ranging from renovation of classes, tables and chairs and even teachers remuneration to enable the school meet up with the modern standards. 


One funny thing about the school is where the people of the said village cast their votes during elections but government leave the school unattended to. 






The only blocks of two classes which was built by the community needed renovation and chairs because during raining season, the pupils were allowed to go back home.


The school as a matter of urgency needs serious attention as the only sign boards to identify the school stood stunted and worn out.

Taraba Begins ₦5,000 Deduction for Teachers’ Permanent Identity Cards

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB) has initiated a ₦5,000 deduction from teachers as part of arrangements for the production of Permanent Identity Cards for teachers across the state. According to UBEC, the identity cards are expected to strengthen staff records, improve security and enhance administrative efficiency in the management of teachers across Taraba State. UBEC further said the Permanent Identity Card project is also expected to assist the state government in developing an accurate and verifiable database of teachers. Such a database will provide Governor Agbu Kefas with reliable information on personnel within the basic education system and support more effective planning, monitoring and personnel management. The initiative is therefore expected to strengthen security measures, improve staff verification and provide a more efficient system for managing personnel across Taraba State’s basic education sector.
