Taraba State Polytechnic: Gov. Ishaku Approves the Composition of Visitation Panel

The Taraba State Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku has approved the composition of the visitation panel for the Taraba State Polytechnic.

This was contained in a press release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Hassan Mijinyawa, MCIPR.

It states that the panel has the deputy vice chancellor administration of the Taraba State University, Prof. Nicholas O. Namessan as chairman and the permanent secretary career management office, Mr. Umar Abdul as secretary.

Other members of the panel are;

  1. Dr. Muhammad Sukare, retired Permanent Secretary.
  2. Yakubu Bulus – Retired Accountant
  3. Engr. Tanko Kitere – Permanent Secretary Min of Works
  4. Mr. Iranius Polycarp – State Auditor General
  5. Christopher Gani – Ministry of Justice.

It states that the panel which has four (4) weeks to complete its assignment and submit its report, will be inaugurated by the state Deputy Governor, Engr. Haruna Manu on Monday, 27th July, 2020 by 1:00 PM in his office.

Taraba Begins ₦5,000 Deduction for Teachers’ Permanent Identity Cards

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB) has initiated a ₦5,000 deduction from teachers as part of arrangements for the production of Permanent Identity Cards for teachers across the state. According to UBEC, the identity cards are expected to strengthen staff records, improve security and enhance administrative efficiency in the management of teachers across Taraba State. UBEC further said the Permanent Identity Card project is also expected to assist the state government in developing an accurate and verifiable database of teachers. Such a database will provide Governor Agbu Kefas with reliable information on personnel within the basic education system and support more effective planning, monitoring and personnel management. The initiative is therefore expected to strengthen security measures, improve staff verification and provide a more efficient system for managing personnel across Taraba State’s basic education sector.
