Forty religious leaders from the Christian and Islamic faiths are participants in an inter-faith dialogue by the Presidential Committee on Northeast Initiative, PCNI.
The dialogue is part of strategies by the Federal Government to rebuild and restore sustainable peace in the northeast.
Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku, said government would continue to give its full support to programmes that will promote peaceful coexistence in the state.
The inter-religious dialogue organized by the PCNI aimed to foster peaceful co-existence between followers of various faiths in the region.
Representative of the Taraba State Governor at the event, Khadi Ahmed Bose, said the dialogue is a boost to the State Government's advocacy for inter- religious peaceful co-existence.
Representative of PCNI, Oluseyi Odutayo, said the initiative would continue to provide an enabling environment for dialogue, reconciliation and reintegration in the northeast.
The interfaith dialogue is one of several strategies by the PCNI to promote transitional justice, reconciliation, and build mutual trust in crisis affected northeast states.
