Guber Poll: Bulkachuwa Reshuffles Tribunal Panel In Taraba

The President of the Court of Appeal, PCA Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, has reshuffled members of the panel of Election Tribunal sittingin Taraba State, LEADERSHIP gathered yesterday in Jalingo.
The secretary of Election Petition Panel for Taraba State, Alaba Ariyo, who disclosed this to newsmen in Jalingo, said a new panel is expected in the state soon.
Ariyo, who could not give reason for reshuffling the panel, added that the development is not peculiar to Taraba, saying that election panels in about 15 other states were also being reshuffled.
On whether the incoming panel will continue from where the previous panel stopped or start all over, Ariyo said he not could tell, explaining that such decision remains the prerogative of the new panel that is being expected.
LEADERSHP reports that a three-man election Petition Tribunal headed by Justice Aflojolu Raymond Ozoemena with Justice Elias Ojie Abua and Justice S.A. Adeoye, was earlier inaugurated in the state on May 5, 2015.
Meanwhile, the Tribunal has adjourned its sitting to June 8, 2015.

Taraba State University Joins ASUU Ultimatum to 21 Universities Over 2025 Agreement

Taraba Begins ₦5,000 Deduction for Teachers’ Permanent Identity Cards

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB) has initiated a ₦5,000 deduction from teachers as part of arrangements for the production of Permanent Identity Cards for teachers across the state. According to UBEC, the identity cards are expected to strengthen staff records, improve security and enhance administrative efficiency in the management of teachers across Taraba State. UBEC further said the Permanent Identity Card project is also expected to assist the state government in developing an accurate and verifiable database of teachers. Such a database will provide Governor Agbu Kefas with reliable information on personnel within the basic education system and support more effective planning, monitoring and personnel management. The initiative is therefore expected to strengthen security measures, improve staff verification and provide a more efficient system for managing personnel across Taraba State’s basic education sector.
