ROBBERY: NAN Correspondent Attacked In Taraba

A gang of armed robbers on Saturday evening attacked a senior correspondent of NAN in Taraba State, Alhaji Adamu Sadiq at his residence and made away with his Honda Accord car (Hennessey) and other valuables worth over N8 million.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the armed bandits, who were five in number, stormed the journalist’s apartment along GRA area Jalingo when people had not gone to bed.
Speaking on the ugly incident, Sadiq said the robbers came at about 9:30pm, and on getting to the compound, they ordered wife and the children to lie down flat.
“As the time they entered my house, I was not in; I was standing very close to my house receiving calls. When I finished the calls, I came back to the parlour and when they saw me, they asked me to give them the money I brought home yesterday, and that the person that sent them told them I came home with money and that they were instructed to kill me if I refused to give them the money,” he said.
The robbers later tied him up and took his Honda Accord Car, home theater, plasma TV and valuable items.
According to him, his family told him how the robbers burst into the living room with guns and announced: “We are here to collect money, not to kill anybody, and where are two Apple iPads in this house?”
