Gov. Ishaku Promises Good Road Network In Jalingo

Taraba State governor, Mr. Darius Ishaku, has reiterated his commitment towards ensuring the provision of good road network across the state including the state capital, Jalingo.

Ishaku, who spoke to journalists yesterday in Jalingo shortly after inspecting some roads within the state capital said that his administration would start the Jalingo township roads to raise the standard of the state capital.

He informed that he would carry out the township roads projects in phases to make every part of the state capital accessible.

He explained that provision of basic infrastructure, health care delivery and qualitative education to the people among others would be the cardinal objectives of his administration.

He added that his government would continue to work with relevant stakeholders to ensure that permanent peace returns to every nook and cranny of the state.

“No society develops in an atmosphere of rancour, acrimony and social upheaval, therefore we must work together to resolve all lingering crisis in the state,” he said.

He called on the people of the state to continue to support his administration for the progress and development of the state.

Taraba Begins ₦5,000 Deduction for Teachers’ Permanent Identity Cards

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB) has initiated a ₦5,000 deduction from teachers as part of arrangements for the production of Permanent Identity Cards for teachers across the state. According to UBEC, the identity cards are expected to strengthen staff records, improve security and enhance administrative efficiency in the management of teachers across Taraba State. UBEC further said the Permanent Identity Card project is also expected to assist the state government in developing an accurate and verifiable database of teachers. Such a database will provide Governor Agbu Kefas with reliable information on personnel within the basic education system and support more effective planning, monitoring and personnel management. The initiative is therefore expected to strengthen security measures, improve staff verification and provide a more efficient system for managing personnel across Taraba State’s basic education sector.
