The chairman of Hunters Association, Ardo-Kola local government area of Taraba state, Mallam Suleiman Jibrin, has said hunters can be used to tackle the menace of kidnapping and other crimes in the state. The chairman said because hunters were always in the forest hunting for games they could be used along security personnel to fight such criminals.

He said the association is a registered organization with registered members who could easily be identified. He said it also has rules and regulations guiding the conduct of each member.

Mallam Jibrin said already many hunters were involved in the fight against Boko Haram and were ready to contribute in the fight against banditry and kidnappings. According to him, once the association is recognized by relevant security agencies and the state government hunters would be able put in their best. Mallam Jibrin stated that insecurity should be a concern to every Nigerian and hunters are ready to contribute their quota in tackling the menace.
