TCI sets to renovates Taraba health facilities



To further strengthen Primary Health Care delivery in Taraba state, plans have been concluded by The Challenge Initiative (TCI) to renovate health facilities in five out of the sixteen local government councils of state.
The 72 hours make over which would be carried out in health facilities spread across the demonstration local government councils which are, Ardo-Kola, Gassol, Jalingo, Sardauna and Wukari is scheduled to commenced next month.

The Executive Secretary of the State Primarily Health Care Development Agency (TSPHCDA), Alhaji Aminu Jauro Hassan, who made this known yesterday during the review of the state family planning work plan held at the multipurpose hall of the Fast Track hotel located in Jalingo metropolis, lauded the decision of the organization to expand addition energy and resources in renovating the facilities which he believed would not only go a long way to address challenges confronting family planning in the state but as well as other health challenges.
Lauding the efforts of TCI towards their contributions to women in the state and for collaborating with the state to promote family planning, he pleaded with the initiative to go extra legitimate miles to extend their programmes beyond the five aforementioned local government areas.
TCI, whom our reporter learnt is presently working in twenty-four health facilities in the aforementioned five demonstration Councils, would next month June commence renovation works from the affected health facilities in Jalingo , the state capital and Ardo-Kola before proceed to the remaining three councils .
Stressing TCI determinations to make family planning services available to the nooks and crannies of the state, the State Program Coordinator of the TCI, Dr. Othman Sarki, said the decision to renovate the facilities is aimed at encouraging access to quality health care delivery in the state.
Elated by the decision of the state government to approved a budget line for family planning, TCI as stated by him, would continue to work round the clock in the state and the country at large to ensure that the myths and misconceptions and other hindrances halting some persons from embracing family planning soon become a thing of the past.
The ongoing four day review of the work plan on family planning which will be brought to an end today (Thursday) was organized by TSPHCDA and supported by TCI, as. Observed our state correspondent, heralds the presence of collaborating partners from Ipas, Maries Stopes Nigeria, SHF among others .

Taraba Begins ₦5,000 Deduction for Teachers’ Permanent Identity Cards

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB) has initiated a ₦5,000 deduction from teachers as part of arrangements for the production of Permanent Identity Cards for teachers across the state. According to UBEC, the identity cards are expected to strengthen staff records, improve security and enhance administrative efficiency in the management of teachers across Taraba State. UBEC further said the Permanent Identity Card project is also expected to assist the state government in developing an accurate and verifiable database of teachers. Such a database will provide Governor Agbu Kefas with reliable information on personnel within the basic education system and support more effective planning, monitoring and personnel management. The initiative is therefore expected to strengthen security measures, improve staff verification and provide a more efficient system for managing personnel across Taraba State’s basic education sector.
