Our 10,000 Members in Jalingo are suffering- Keke Riders Association Tell Gov. Ishaku



The Association of Tricycle Riders in Taraba State has appeal to Governor of Taraba State Arc Darius Ishaku review the lockdown policy imposed on the state, stressing that more than 10,000 of it's members in Jalingo are suffering and cannot feed their families.

The association in a statement signed by Alhaji A A Bello also advised the government to allow its member to either be carrying two passengers per tricycle or a time limit for them to operates as the current situation has brought untold hardship on its members.

The association lamments that private and commercial cars are conveying passengers with no specification on the number of passengers taken by each vehicle which may take us to were we are  running from in the spread of the Covid 19 pandemic.

The statement reads in part after edit :
"The lockdown has brought untold hardship to more than ten thousand (10000) registered members living in Jalingo metropolitan by denying them access to daily food.

"Our  appeal is to the Executive Governor of Taraba State  being the Cheif Security officer   to look in to the issue and allow us to be carrying even two  passengers per Tricycle( keke) or they should be given time to opperate base to enable them feed their families.

 "We await your response to rescue our members from suffering being the rescue Captain."

    Definitely the Governor and the other protocol should look into this if not by trying to protect us from covid19 then covid hungry will kill people at home,we are pleading to government to provide what will help the needy.

Taraba Begins ₦5,000 Deduction for Teachers’ Permanent Identity Cards

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB) has initiated a ₦5,000 deduction from teachers as part of arrangements for the production of Permanent Identity Cards for teachers across the state. According to UBEC, the identity cards are expected to strengthen staff records, improve security and enhance administrative efficiency in the management of teachers across Taraba State. UBEC further said the Permanent Identity Card project is also expected to assist the state government in developing an accurate and verifiable database of teachers. Such a database will provide Governor Agbu Kefas with reliable information on personnel within the basic education system and support more effective planning, monitoring and personnel management. The initiative is therefore expected to strengthen security measures, improve staff verification and provide a more efficient system for managing personnel across Taraba State’s basic education sector.
