NBA Wukari branch chairman, 2 lawyers abducted in Taraba



The Wukari branch chairman of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Barrister Hassan Ali Saubana, 2 other  lawyers and a driver were abducted in Taraba.

The legal  practitioners and their driver were abducted along Wukari-Takum road in Taraba state on Tuesday.
They were said to be traveling to Takum town and gunmen blocked the road and took them at gun point to unknown location.

A source in Wukari,Mallam Idi Ruwaya told Daily Trust in a Telephone interview that the 3 legal practitioners were abducted at Amadu village along Wukari _Takum road and the area is under Takum local government area.
Mallam Idi explained that Amadu village was a night mare to travelers because of high cases of kidnapping.

He said Taraba have two branches of Nigerian Bar Association with one in Jalingo and another in Wukari and Barrister Ali is the branch chairman.
The source stated that the abductors have demanded the sum of N10million ransom for the release of the chairman, 2 lawyers and his driver.

When contacted, the spokesperson of Taraba police command, ASP David Misal said the command has not received any information on the incident
