Taraba APC nominates Bello Mustapha for national secretary



The State Working Committee (SWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State has presented Muhammed Bello Mustapha as consensus candidate for the office of the national secretary of the party.

They vouched for Mustapha’s leadership ability to mend fences and reconcile aggrieved members and entrench bond of brotherhood, love, understanding and unity among party faithful if elected.

Mustapha had previously contested same position in 2018 at the party’s National convention only to step down Mai Mala Buni after agreement by
leaders of the party from the Northeast where the position was zoned to.
Correspondent Owolabi Adenusi reports that the immediate past national secretary of APC, Mai Mala Buni resigned to contest for governor of Yobe State which he won.

Taraba State has however presented Bar Muhammad Mustapha for his replacement.

Addressing a press conference at his flag off campaign for the post, Mustapha promised to create an atmosphere where everyone will put in
his/her best if elected.
He said party discipline would be enriched under his watch as he is ready to work with national chairman of the party in making the party more
acceptable, better, virile and stronger to face the nation’s daunting challenges and ensure that justice, equity and fairness become oder of the
day.

He commends national leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and President Muhammadu Buhari for laying good foundation for the party, and promised to to carry along the founding fathers of APC if he is entrusted with the office.
Some party chieftains who gave reasons why APC in Taraba is championing Mustapha candidature, said the state has been marginalised in the affairs of the party with no national officer, urging national leader of the party to rally round Mustapha in the spirit of fearless.
Taraba APC garnered 45 per cent votes for President Muhammadu Buhari in the last elections, their expectation is to have one of them at the national
